Sydne Estel

Director

Sydne Estel has been immersed in the dance world since the age of two. She grew up as a studio dancer and later joined her high school drill team, the Midway Goal Tenders. She was an officer while also training in ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, and various other styles. She graduated in 2010 and went on to attend Kilgore College where she was a member of the 71st line of the Kilgore College Rangerettes. As a Rangerette, she performed on large stages including The McDonald's Thanksgiving Parade in Chicago, the Cotton Bowl, and the Pearl Harbor 70th Anniversary, among others. Following her time at Kilgore, Sydne attended Baylor University where she was a member and served as Captain of the Baylor Songleaders Pom Squad.  In her second and final year at Baylor, she served as Co-Captain of the Songleaders. Sydne graduated from Baylor with a degree from the School of Education in Integrated Studies. As a teacher, choreographer, and director, Sydne has worked for Marching Auxiliaries Dance for the last 8 years, has served as a staff member for Spirit of America Productions and The Macy's Parade in New York, and in recent years helped to create and direct the Dallas Wings Flight Crew, the hip hop performance team for Dallas' WNBA Franchise. During football season, she works for the Cotton Bowl Athletic Association as a liaison between College Spirit programs and AT&T Stadium on game days. Sydne spent three years as the Assistant Director and will be going on year five as the head director of the Heritage Highsteppers.

 

Tori Buschow

Ms. Buschow is a graduate of Texas A&M University where she received her Bachelor’s in English. She grew up dancing competitively then served as a two-year lieutenant for her varsity drill team at Marcus High School in Flower Mound, Texas. In 2015, she started her freshman year of college attending BLINN college where she was a part of the BLINN college dance team. She traveled to NDA nationals in Daytona Beach Florida where the Dance team was awarded the title of 2016 Pom National Champions. During her sophomore and junior year of college, she attended Kilgore College as a 77th-line World Famous Kilgore College Rangerette from 2016-2018. As a Rangerettes Tori traveled to New York City to perform in Macy’s 90th Thanksgiving Day Parade, Honolulu, Hawaii to perform in the 75th commemoration of the attack on Pearl Harbor, and Orlando, Florida to perform as a special guest in the Contest of Champions in Disney World. She has performed in the AT&T Cotton Bowl classic pregame and halftime show along with many other performance opportunities including Baylor University season opener, Houston Texans halftime show, and Opening day of the Texas state fair. She is also a part of the Spirit of America Staff that travels to New York City each Thanksgiving to assist high school dancers from around the United States to perform in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.  Tori began her teaching and directing career in Spring, TX at Klein Oak High School where she served as a dance teacher and assistant director of the Strutter Dance Team from 2020-2023.
