
DIRECTOR

Ms. Ceurter is originally from Arlington and began her dance training when she was 5 years old. She trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, and hip hop at Metropolitan Ballet, United Performing Arts Company, Orlando Ballet School, American Ballet Theater & Joffrey Ballet. She began dancing competitively in 1st grade and competed at regional and state competitions such as MA Dance, American Dance/Drill Team and Crowd Pleasers Dance. While competing she received many awards including ADTS National Solo Champion and MA Dance National Solo Champion. Along with dancing at UPAC, Ms. Ceurter was an assistant teacher, substitute, and taught her own class during her senior year of high school.
Ms. Ceurter graduated from Booker T Washington HS for the Performing & Visual Arts in Dallas and attended Point Park University on a modern dance scholarship. She transferred to Harding University and graduated with a BS in Athletic Training.
While living in California, Ms. Ceurter realized how much she missed teaching dance so she attended San Francisco State University and received her high school teaching credential in PE/Dance. She was the assistant dance team director at Northgate High School in Walnut Creek, CA before moving back to Texas and teaching dance at Rockwall High School. Ms. Ceurter then went on to be the Drill Team & Dance Department Director at South Hills High School in Fort Worth. Additionally, she is a freelance choreographer for many award-winning teams in jazz, pom, novelty, lyrical and contemporary. Ms. Ceurter currently dances with the professional dance team, the Texas Legends, and has also been on staff with American Dance/ Drill Team as a contest judge and instructor since 2017.
